Motorcoach & Group Tour Basics

All Group Tour rates are for groups of 10 or more

Parking – Turn onto Kissel Hill Road, a small feeder road, to unload your passengers in front of our Visitor Center.  There is a sign marked “motorcoach entrance” off of Landis Valley Road as well as an entrance sign in front of the building.  Your motorcoach may then park in our large parking lot.  There is plenty of motor coach parking.

Restrooms – Restroom facilities are located throughout the site.  There is a handicapped restroom in the Visitor Center and next to the Landis Valley House Hotel.

Handicap Accessibility – Most buildings are accessible to the physically disabled with ADA approved ramps.  2 wheelchairs are available for your use.

Walkways and Appropriate Attire - You will be walking outside to the buildings on unpaved walkways so please dress for the weather and wear suitable shoes.  Most buildings are heated and air conditioned and are close together in the Victorian Village which is a small loop.  Walking is minimal in the village.

Introduction Video – This 13-minute, award-winning video introduces the history of the Pennsylvania German/Dutch culture and the village, offering a wonderful overview of Penn Dutch descendants’ lives in the 1700's and 1800's and the origination of Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum.

Shopping – The Landis Valley Museum Store, offering mementos from your visit with two stories of quality, handcrafted pieces and reproductions made by local traditional craftsmen, including our own tradesmen.  A fine selection of books, educational toys, games and candy, along with local snacks are also available.

Food Service for pre-arranged groups is offered in our historic buildings.  We feature home-cooked full course meals including Pennsylvania Dutch foods.   Boxed lunches and light lunches are also available. You may also choose to enjoy outdoor dining in our lovely picnic groves.

Length of Visit – We recommend you allow 2½ to 3 hours to fully enjoy all we have to offer.  However, we will provide a tour tailored to your time availability.
