Historic Trades Camp

July 17-20, 2018


Older campers will explore some of the crafts and trades interpreted and practiced at Landis Valley.  This year's theme centers around the daily running of a tavern in the 1700's and early 1800's.  Activities include:

  • Sewing an authentic tradesperson's apron
  • Learning the roles of craftspeople in the operation of a tavern
  • Cooking authentic summertime tavern dishes
  • Learning to play popular games, including Shut the Box, Nine Pins, and Hinklefus (Dominoes)

For ages 12-15

Pre-registration is required.  Contact Sheri Brown at 717-569-0401 ext. 228 to register your youth. Registration closes 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Full payment is due 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. *Activities and projects may change without prior notice.
